Sustainability statement
Last updated: 2 January 2026
At Patchouli Yoga, we believe that yoga is more than just a physical practice.
It is a commitment to living in harmony with the world around us.
1. Travel
I encourage you to use active travel (walking, cycling, wheeling) to make your way to the venue. This is a great, gentle warm up before yoga. It's also kinder to the environment.
I am committed to offsetting my own flights using World Land Trust's Carbon Balanced offsetting. World Land Trust protects endangered carbon-rich habitats around the world, empowering local communities.
I was flight-free between the start of 2020 and the start of 2025. Now, I am flight-free for travel in Europe, but do fly internationally, and offset.
I encourage you to also carbon-offset your flights, if you go on an international retreat with me.
2. Waste and circular economy
Please bring a reusable water bottle to class to reduce single use plastics.
I am mindful of waste when designing events, and prioritise reusables over single use items, where possible.
3. Energy
I ask venues about their sustainability policies, including energy.
4. Ethical sourcing
I consider social responsibility and sustainability in purchasing decisions.
All catering and purchases on behalf of Patchouli Yoga are vegan.
Choosing plant-based is kinder for the animals and the planet.
I prioritise supporting local businesses.
